John Mayer Debuts #1 On Billboard 200!

FOR THE THIRD TIME!
That’s right, John Mayer‘s new album called Born and Raised has debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart!
The new record has sold about 219,000 copies in its first week!
His last two albums sold 289,000 and 317,000 in their first week, respectively!
Still, 219k is NOT bad considering he has a throat condition called granuloma. That means he’s been unable to sing and wasn’t able to do a lot of promotional activities for the album.
Here’s what he said on Twitter:

“[This is] incredible on all your parts because there has been very little I’ve been able to do to promote it.”

We just hope his throat gets back to 100% someday!
It’d especially be a shame for him to not be able to tour because of it!
