We’re in the darkest timeline — at least according to John Mayer.
Instagram announced a big change on Tuesday, saying that to allow users to see MORE of their feed, they were changing from a chronological feed — posts in order by when they happened — to one ordered by your “interest” in seeing a post.
How will they know how much you’ll want to see a post before you see it? A complicated computer algorithm, based on everything from your time zone to what hashtags you’ve clicked on the most.

And John is NOT buying that!
According to the singer, the new feed will keep you from seeing more posts than ever — especially artists who aren’t already famous from other platforms!
