John Mayer Knows His Exes Have Written Break-Up Songs About Him & He Has Just One Thing To Say About It…

In a recent interview, John Mayer dished on the recently announced break-up songs Katy says she’s “sure” will be inspired by John.
Let’s just say he gets it, but he also takes issue with it:

“That’s what you’re supposed to do, man. You’re supposed to write songs. You’re just not supposed to tell everybody you’re doing it…I actually want everybody’s song to go to number one. I purposely stopped writing hits to give other people a chance to have number one songs.”

Ooh! “You’re just not supposed to tell everybody you’re doing it?” That is a dig at Katy’s announcement if ever we heard one!
Although, it is very generous to wish his former lovers well in their musical endeavors, but wanting ALL their songs written about their break-ups to become number one hits?
We’re sure that must feel a little revealing and embarrassing! Anyway, we hope John gets some number one hits himself!
