Kirstie Alley Says John Travolta Can’t Be Gay Because They Were ‘In Love’ With Each Other!

Kirstie Alley John Travolta gay rumors in love

Look who’s attesting to John Travolta’s heterosexuality!
In an interview on Dan Wootton’s podcast, Kirstie Alley revealed that she and the Grease star fell in love with each other while filming Look Who’s Talking.

The two costars never physically acted on it, but Alley considers their emotional affair to be more scandalous than if it were physical. She explained:

“It wasn’t a sexual relationship because I’m not going to cheat on my husband. But, you know I think there are things that are way worse than sexual relationships, than cheating on someone that way because I consider what I did even worse because I actually let myself fall in love with him and stay in love with him for a long time.”

As the actress explained, she had been married to then-husband Parker Stevenson while Travolta had split from his now-wife Kelly Preston by the time they crossed paths filming the 1989 comedy.
Although the two “fell in love with each other” playing love interests on the screen, Alley didn’t give into temptation, which she says drove Travolta right back into his ex’s arms:

“He had dated Kelly Preston before he did Look Who’s Talking with me and then I would say he would agree that it was mutual that we sort of fell in love with each other. When it became very apparent that I wasn’t going anywhere, I was staying married…and then he started seeing Kelly again.”

But their romance wasn’t over. Alley admitted that she flirted with Travolta “like crazy” when they were back filming Look Who’s Talking, Too, and his new bride couldn’t help but notice.
She recalled:

“Kelly came up to me and she said uh—and they were married then—she said, ‘Um, why are you flirting with my husband?'”

Awkward!

Shortly after, Alley realized she had to cease her constant flirting and keep her relationship with Travolta professional — a choice she considers “one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make.” She continued:

“I knew I had to make a decision, too—I’m either going to be this creepy girl who flirts with her husband…I just had to make a decision. Are you going to be that girl or are you going to have these guys as friends and have that kind of life? I will say it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done…the hardest decision—one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make because I was madly in love with him.”

Nowadays, Alley and Preston get along swimmingly. They live next door to each other and both practice Scientology. Alley even calls Travolta’s wife her “best friend for a long time.”
As for those gay rumors that keep finding a way to come out against the actor, Alley doesn’t believe a word of it. She explained:

“No, I don’t [think he’s gay]. I mean, I know him pretty well—and I know the love.”

We’re guessing it’s a different kind of love than what those male masseurs accused Travolta of laying on them.
