Amber Heard
is fighting back!
On Monday, Heard released a statement revealing she’ll plead NOT guilty to dog smuggling charges in Australia. The case is set to take place sometime next year.

For those who don’t know, Amber and Johnny Depp were under intense scrutiny from Australian officials when they failed to present rabies-free documentation for their two Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, during filming of Pirates of The Caribbean last May. One higher up even threatened to euthanize the doggies if they weren’t sent back to the United States within 72 hours.
While Heard and Depp quickly complied to authorities demands, they still faced punishment for their actions. Officials take these situations VERY seriously considering Australia prides itself on being a rabies-free country.
In response to the serious charges, the actress explained:

“My decision to defend these charges, as will become apparent in the appropriate forum of the Court, is not intended to in any way diminish the importance of Australia’s laws.”

Welp, there ya go! We’re glad the blonde is respecting Australia’s jurisdiction while also standing up for herself.
Anyways, we’re interested to see what defense Ambs comes up with. It seems like the beauty’s lawyer (who will represent her at the trial) has a daunting task ahead!
If convicted, Johnny’s wife could face 10 years in prison and fines up to 80K.
So, whose side are YOU on?
