Johnny Depp Gave Daughter Lily-Rose Marijuana When She Was 13 Years Old!

Johnny Depp gave daughter weed when she was 13

Johnny Depp has an inneresting take on “responsible parenting.”

During his hotly-anticipated court appearance on Tuesday, the Pirates of the Caribbean star discussed certain aspects of his family life and his relationship with drugs — and revealed that he gave daughter Lily-Rose Depp marijuana when she was only 13 years old!

Believe it or not, Depp actually called this act “responsible parenting,” because he wanted Lily-Rose to feel “safe” with the drug as a teenager. The actor made the revelation during his trial against the News Group Newspapers over The Sun dubbing him a “wife beater” in 2018. Depp vehemently denied ever hitting his ex-wife, Amber Heard, and went on to claim she was actually the one who had abused him during their tumultuous marriage.

While on the stand, the Oscar nominee was asked about his excessive drinking towards the end of his 14-year relationship with Lily-Rose’s mom Vanessa Paradis, with whom he also shares 18-year-old son JackHe said to the court:

“I would definitely say that towards the end of my relationship with Ms Paradis, the mother of my children, it was a very painful time — to break up with someone that you have been with for 14 years and that you have two children with. So it was a very painful time and I was more than likely trying to numb myself as much as possible.”

Depp said the family was “on the verge of falling apart” and that the French model was “very, very sad,” adding:

“I didn’t like making her sad and I didn’t like making my children sad.”

Although the former couple never wed, they have stayed good friends and even spent last Christmas together in Paris with their children. As for what helped Depp sober up following his split from Paradis? The credit apparently goes to Sir Elton John.

During the proceedings on Tuesday, The Sun’s lawyer Sasha Wass referred to an email Depp sent to the Rocketman singer on March 22, 2012 with the subject “100 days.” It read:

“My dearest Elton, 100 f**king days of clarity for an old reprobate t**t like me. No one would ever have believed it possible but for a select few, most importantly you… I would have been swallowed up by the monster were it not for you.”

Wass claimed that Depp started using the term “the monster” to describe his drunken alter ego, but the 57-year-old star argued that he was using “monster” as a metaphor for the “poison” of alcohol, and “death” itself. Interestingly enough, this email was sent around the same time Johnny said he gave his daughter marijuana — but we guess cannabis is more of a sandman than a monster…

What do U think about this, Perezcious readers?
