Johnny Depp Declares His Love For Australia Despite The Fact That Wife Amber Heard Is Still Facing Charges For Dog Smuggling

Johnny Depp dealt with a lot of drama while he was filming in Australia last year.
However, it seems despite the fact that he’s facing backlash for smuggling his dogs down under, the 52-year-old still has a soft spot for the country/continent.

In case you forgot, the Pirates of Caribbean star and his wife Amber Heard got into a bit of hot water with Barnaby Joyce, the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, when they failed to properly follow the quarantine laws for their two Yorkshire terriers last May. The pups, Boo and Pistol, were quickly sent back to the states since they could’ve been put down. Yikes!
Unfortunately, the A-listers are still dealing with the legal fallout from this incident. Nonetheless, it appears as though the drama might settle sooner than later.
When asked if he’d return to the land of the plenty, Johnny replied:

“Of course. I love Australia.”

Phew! Well that’s good to hear. He continued:

“I think that guy, Barnaby? He invited me to stay at his house, for some reason.”

That’s HIGHlarious. We doubt, he’ll take the government official up on his offer though!
We’ll definitely be innerested to see what happens when Miz Heard’s four day trial for the situation occurs in April. Here’s hoping the whole things gets chalked up to a big misunderstanding!
