Gotta love that loyalty! Yet another reason why Johnny is amazing!
To recap, last month Disney axed The Lone Ranger because of budgetary issues AND because of Cowboys & Aliens lackluster success.
Then, we heard that director Gore Verbinski was fighting to keep the movie alive by cutting the budget.
THEN, we heard that Johnny Depp would be willing to use his own money to make The Lone Ranger work if necessary.
NOW, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski are proposing a new budget “in the $215M range.” Hopefully Disney will accept this, because as much as Johnny wants this movie to get made, he refuses to do it without Gore.
Do U think Disney should accept a $215 million Lone Ranger budget? Do U think the movie will be a success if it gets made?
