Figure skater Johnny Weir was planning on staying in a hotel during the Olympic Games in Vancouver, but he changed his tune when he received “very serious threats” from anti-fur activists.
So, no matter how bad he thought the Olympic village was four years ago, he’s staying there again because of the security. Johnny is now sharing a two-bedroom suite with ice dancer Tanith Belbin.
Weir pissed off activists when he added white fox fur to the left shoulder of his costume at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Careful Weir, some of those activist can be a bit extreme.
