Jon Bon Jovi Mourns The Loss Of His Jersey Shore Following Hurricane Sandy

We’re still in shock from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
Lives, homes, memories — they were all ripped away from East-Coasters. Clearly it’s an extremely painful situation that many Americans are dealing with right now.
Our heart hasn’t hurt this bad in a looooong time.
And neither has Jon Bon Jovi‘s.
Describing his feelings to Today, the Sayreville native mourned the losses, saying:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós gone. The entire Jersey Shore that I knew is gone. It was hard to see your hometown devastated like this and people that I grew up with… My grammar school turned into a shelter. People├óΓé¼Γäós homes gone and them saying to me, ‘We are now homeless. We never intended to be homeless.’ These are hard-working, blue-collar people.”

Tearing up!
Jovi was one of the performers at Friday night’s Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together relief concert. He and others such as Christina Aguilera belted their blues in hopes of raising money for the suffering coast.
Our heart is with you, East Coast!! We can push through this!!
