Frankly, we’re just as surprised as he is!
After Jon Hamm said in Elle UK that society values “stupidity” and being an effing “idiot” and then cited Kim Kardashian as an example, the media picked up the story like wild fire and made enough of a stink to provoke the reality starlet to stand up for herself via Twitter!
And now, the Mad Men actor is just bewildered as to how this garnered so much of a frenzy!
He says:
“It’s surprising to me that it has become remotely a story. I don’t know Ms. Kardashian, I know her public persona. What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right.”
Just as it’s his right to say whatever he wants!
We can certainly understand both sides of this one, and no real harm was done, so hopefully this will be the end of it!
