Don Draper’s going behind the lens!
After much debate over whether the show would even return for a fifth season, it’s been decided that Jon Hamm will direct Mad Man’s upcoming season premiere. Jon reveals it’s an opportunity that has been in “the back of [his] mind for a while now,” and since the show has finally been given the greenlight, he felt like there was no better time to forge ahead with his dream than now.
├óΓé¼┼ôThe wheels have officially been set in motion to make that happen,├óΓé¼┬¥ Hamm tells TVLine. ├óΓé¼┼ôIt├óΓé¼Γäós a very exciting challenge that I├óΓé¼Γäóm looking forward to with a mixture of utter fear and excitement…It helps to have people you know and trust surrounding you. We├óΓé¼Γäóve been fortunate enough to have very little turnover not only in our cast but in our crew.├óΓé¼┬¥
Jon adds that production should be getting underway in August, but since he’s taking on the added responsibility of directing, he’ll be getting started a bit earlier than the rest of his cast.
The new season can’t come fast enough! Can’t you guys start now???
