Bassem Youssef, often referred to as the “Jon Stewart of the Arab world” sat down with his American predecessor last night on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and boy, was it HIGHlarious!
The Egyptian television satirist brought the funny while making some poignant points about politics and being persecuted by his government. There was even a joke made about Glee!
Bassem, who was arrested earlier this month, is currently being investigated for allegedly insulting Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the faith of Islam on his show The Program. Can you imagine something like this happening to Jon?!
