That’s one way to make art films more exciting!
A torrential downpour caused the roof of the Soixantième Theatre to collapse Sunday night at the Cannes International Film Festival, but thankfully there were no injuries!!
The, errm, architectural difficulties of the special screening house forced several festival premieres to be rescheduled.
The weather at Cannes has been awful recently. The runway is literally soaked with expensive champagne cloud excrement, forcing many couture-clad celebrities to wade through a soggy crimson carpet in order to pose for the cameras.
Amour stars Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger were amongst those inconvenienced. Where were Diane’s Jean Paul Gaultier galoshes when she needed them?! LOLz!
Assuming the bad conditions continue, festival officials plan to relocate many of the remaining functions indoors.
And they said the French Riviera is NICE this time of year!!
