In the sad story of NFL star Jovan Belcher’s shooting rampage and eventual suicide, the motive was unclear.
Though now it seems like there may be a reason why he was set off.
According to his mother, he and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins were arguing over their three-month old daughter, Zoey.
Jovan questioned whether or not the baby was actually his, and his mother apparently felt the same way.
A source close to the situation said:
“The implication was that [paternity] was what the two of them were fighting about ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that the baby might not have been his.”
So now we have a new piece to the puzzle.
Now it makes a little more sense as to why he got so enraged he shot his girlfriend to death. Though it’s still a sad thing that can never be taken back.
Zoey is being raised by Perkins’ family and they will be receiving over $1,000,000 in NFL benefits.
At least that poor baby will be taken care of.
