Okay, so maybe the two have met before, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus still got a rare opportunity to dine with the actual Veep himself at the White House State dinner that was held in honor of the visiting French President Francois Hollande!
Sure, it was a party fête for the President of France and all, but the real fun was happening over at the table with Julia and the Bidenator, who were seated next to each other and looked pretty inseparable!
Julia was nothing but grateful, as she posted her thanks on Twitter:
“That was an unforgettable evening. Thank u @JoeBiden @BarackObama @MichelleObama”
In fact, at one point reporter Sahil Kapur asked Julia if she was enjoying her night at this party of the people, by the people, and for…well, the President of France when Joe interjected:
“Hey stop screwing around, she’s my date!”
Check out the Vice President getting a little territorial! You don’t want a hot cup of Joe in your face!
But don’t worry, it looks like Sahil eventually got his response, which he tweeted:

We bet Julia ate Joe’s charm up with a spoon, and then maybe bagged the spoon because you are not going to see any finer silverware in your life!
We like this pair! Maybe they can make these hangouts pretty regular and HBO can start filming in the actual White House or something!
