Julianne Hough, of recent Dancing with the Stars exposure, has apparently nailed the audition to star opposite Tom Cruise in the film adaptation of Rock of Ages!
She’s in negotiations to play his love interest:
“Hough will play Sherrie, the small-town girl who catches the eye of Cruise, who will play the arrogant and charming star at the top of his career. She rejects him and ends up as a stripper before finding true love at the end.”
Sound like the role of a lifetime for her, at least, one that could be her breakout!
So, how well did she actually do at the auditions??

Shankman called Hough “nothing short of a miracle” during the audition process. “It was a star-is-born moment,” he said.
