Julie Chen Will Remain As Host Of 'Big Brother' -- And Here's Why...

Julie Chen

Big Brother fans, you can exhale now.
On Tuesday, Julie Chen announced that she is officially leaving The Talk amid sexual misconduct allegations against her husband Les Moonves. Chen cited wanting to be home with her son and husband during this time as reason for her exit.

But a CBS insider source confirmed to TMZ that the longtime host of Big Brother isn’t going anywhere.
So why leave The Talk and not Big Brother?
Well for one, CBS wants Chen to stay. The source shared that the network does not want to punish the host for her husband’s alleged behavior, adding they reportedly didn’t even ask her to leave The Talk, but that the decision was made completely on her own.
The insider shares that Julie wants to finish out this season of BB and return for season 21.
But if we’re being honest here, it makes sense that the 48-year-old TV host would choose to remain on the scripted Big Brother. The roundtable talk show she departed from frequently discusses sexual harassment and this would create, uh, uncomfortable situations for Chen, to say the least.
Guess we’ll still be seeing Mrs. Moonves on our small screens for a bit longer!
