Julie & Todd Chrisley Speak For The First Time In Joint Interview Since Trump Pardon & Prison Release

Julie Chrisley is speaking about her presidential pardon and prison release.

In a preview of the forthcoming episode of Lara Trump‘s show My View, which will air on Saturday, June 28, the Chrisley Knows Best star is recounting the exact moment when she learned she was getting sprung from the slammer.

The teaser clip of the Fox News show sees Julie sitting alongside also-pardoned husband Todd Chrisley, son Grayson, and daughter Savannah.

In the minute-long preview, the 52-year-old reality TV matriarch recalled the exact moment when she found out (from Savannah, no less) that she had been pardoned by President Donald Trump:

“I call Savannah one more time and she said, ‘He did it! He signed it!’ And I just started busting out crying. And then I just hung up.”

She hung up on her own daughter?!?! Julie confirmed that yes, she did indeed hang up on the Sassy By Savannah mogul — but for a depressingly sensible reason:

“I was so nervous I just hung up. It was the craziest thing because unfortunately, most of the news that you get in prison is bad news. So they’re like, ‘are you OK?’ And I’m like, ‘I am! I think I’m getting out of here!'”

Then, Todd shared his own realization about his release, as well. The 56-year-old revealed that his pardon story happened after another inmate first told him the news, which he brushed off before a correctional officer confirmed it:

“So I went into my dorm and one of the CO’s came in and he goes, ‘You good?’ And I said, ‘As good as I can be!’ And he said, ‘Todd you just got pardoned. They sent me down here to see if you were OK.’ And I said, ‘Well, hell, if I’m pardoned they don’t have to be worried about me, I’m great!’”
