Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom Actress Says Her Random Lesbian Moment Was Cut From The Film!

We may be getting a bulletproof dinosaur in Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, but the upcoming action flick almost gave audiences an even rarer big screen creature: a lesbian!
Ahead of the film’s release on Friday, actress Daniella Pineda confessed that a scene was left on the cutting room floor in which her character, paleo-veterinarian Dr. Zia Rodriguez, reveals she’s into the ladies.

She explained in a Build Series interview:

“I understood why they cut it — for sake of time. It’s me and Chris Pratt, and we are in a military vehicle with all of these mercenaries. I look at Chris and am like, ‘Yeah. Square jaw. Good bone structure. Tall. Muscles. I don’t date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I would do it.'”

Ha!
Tbh, we’re glad this was cut. Those lines seem vaguely offensive — but A for the minor effort of trying to cram an explicitly queer moment in an international blockbuster!
Pineda acknowledged her character’s admission was “not relevant to the story,” but hopes that Zia’s love life could be explored in later films. She added:

“It was cool, because it was a little insight into my character… I’d like to see more of that, especially in big-ass movies.”

Maybe one day we can even get a lesbian character who DOESN’T hit on the male lead!?
