Former Melrose Place hottie Andrew Shue and Weekend Today anchor Amy Robach married on Saturday in NYC.
“It was the most beautiful night in every way,” said the couple. “Despite snow, high winds, flight and train delays, every guest made it to the night to share our in our new beginning.”
The two wed at at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on Robach’s 37th birthday. And they’re gonna be the Brady Bunch! Shue has three sons and Robach has two daughters from a previous marriage.
“The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Amy and Andrew were beaming,” said a Today show rep. “The decor was simple and there were lots of candles. The guest list was fairly small. They wanted an intimate feel with close friends and family.”
120 guests attended the ceremony including Elisabeth Shue and her husband, director Davis Guggenheim and NBC’s own Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Kathie Lee Gifford.
Andrew and Amy wrote their own vows and had the grooms mom officiate the ceremony. They didn’t even ask for gifts!
“Instead of a gift, they asked guests to give them their two favorite songs ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ one dance, one love ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and they were played throughout the night,” continued the rep. “And instead of wedding cake, they├óΓé¼Γäóre having a birthday cake.”
Also, Amy did not hassle with going crazy for the perfect outfit. She went across the street from work to Saks Fifth Avenue to buy her dress off the rack. And even settled on some Louboutins to go with it!
The two are leaving for this honeymoon in Mexico on Monday. Bon voyage and congrats, kids!
