Justin Bieber is cutting ties with even more former team members!
According to The US Sun on Tuesday, JB’s longtime assistant has moved on. Mateo Caldas started working for Justin in 2018. He was also an estate manager — and personal assistant to Hailey Bieber, too! Sounds like he was one of the Biebers’ most trusted employees! But the working relationship is now over.
Why? Per the report, Mateo is looking to focus on his acting career after previously winning some awards. The ex-assistant declined to comment on the situation. But that sounds positive… right?

A source also told the outlet that the singer’s team is “tighter than ever” since he parted ways from his manager Scooter Braun. He’s even ditching his bodyguards! They explained:
“Justin’s life has changed a lot and he wants to be careful who he has around him on a day-to-day basis, he sometimes finds it hard to trust.”
They continued:
“He’s also working a lot less with bodyguards and drivers, preferring to drive him and Hailey himself on outings. Everyone wishes him well and they are there if he needs them.”

JB hasn’t been pictured with his regular bodyguards Keith Gibbs and Eric Johnson in months, The US Sun confirmed. He also recently unfollowed Kenny Hamilton, who was famously his bodyguard at the start of his career. When a fan messaged Kenny and asked why that happened, Kenny reportedly responded:
“Really have no idea. Kinda came out of nowhere. I’ve been in my own world working and being a dad. Wish him the best tho. Always will love and support him. He knows I’m always here whenever he needs or want to talk.”
These departures come amid worries about Justin’s state of mind. His rep hit back at drug use speculation, telling TMZ late last month that rumors the Peaches hitmaker is using hard drugs isn’t true. The rep also said the past year — in which Justin and his wife welcomed their son Jack — has been “very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
From music managers to business managers and now even bodyguards and close assistants, it seems like Justin’s taking full account of those in his life and doing what he needs to as he starts this fresh new chapter of his life! At least, that’s what we’re hoping is the case — and not the alternative, which would be these folks leaving because they can’t stand to be around him amid his alarming behavior!
