Justin Bieber Sued By Paparazzo He Accidentally Ran Over With His Truck In 2017!

Justin Bieber has been hit with a lawsuit by the photographer he accidentally ran over two years ago.
As we reported back in 2017, the Purpose singer was leaving a church event at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills when started to drive away in his 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, only to smash into paparazzo, William Wilson.
The performer immediately pulled over and tried to assist the pap, staying on the scene until police arrived to take a report. Ultimately, authorities decided not to charge Bieber over the crash: they called it an accident that was partially caused by the superstar being blinded by camera flashes — and also noted that Wilson shouldn’t have been standing in the street in the first place.

At the time, witnesses seemingly agreed that the crash only occurred because the then-23-year-old was being bombarded by a “mob scene” of photographers. An onlooker told E! News:

“Justin slid into his truck in the alley. He got in the driver’s seat and saw all the photographers flashing. He drove out slowly, and there was a group of photographers on the driver’s side and a group on the passenger’s side. Once he drove out, the driver’s side paparazzo started walking around the front of the car. It was like a mob scene, flashing at him.
The group on the right passenger side got pinned against Kourtney Kardashian‘s car, parked on the sidewalk. The guy fell down in the mob — kind of under the front of the car — and the wheel ran over his leg when Justin accelerated. When the photographers stopped flashing and knelt down to help their friend, that’s when Justin realized he hit someone and got out of the car to help.”

But the way Wilson sees it, the singer was negligent in the way he pulled out into the street. He’s now suing Bieber for unspecified damages, according to TMZ, claiming that he suffered “permanent disability, emotional damages and general damages.”

Wilson’s attorney later followed up with the outlet, saying the paparazzo suffered a torn meniscus and knee cap damage from the accident and had to undergo arthroscopic surgery.
The lawyer insists that the only reason Wilson is suing because settlement talks with Justin’s insurance company fell apart a couple of months ago when they got a “lowball” offer.
