Believe it or not, former WWE pro wrestler Kane was just elected mayor of Knox County, Tennessee!
Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, soundly defeated opponent Linda Haney in the mayoral race for the county that includes the city of Knoxville, nearly doubling her vote total to win BIG — 51,804 votes to just 26,224 for Haney!

That came after Jacobs initially won the Republican primary a few months ago in very close fashion — only defeating his GOP challenger by a grand total of 23 votes!
Regardless, Kane Jacobs is now the mayor of Knox County, where he’ll oversee the state’s third-largest city and everything that entails.
