Kate Gosselin is opening up ahead of Kate Plus 8‘s fifth season!
As we previously reported, the reality TV momma sat down with GMA on Monday to talk her famous family, including the recent drama surrounding ex Jon Gosselin and their son Collin.

Well, to shine more light on the 12-year-old’s enrollment in a live-in treatment center for his special needs, the 41-year-old spoke to People, saying:
“This is all new to me, and to our family. I don’t know what the road ahead entails, but I’m very happy with the care that he’s getting, and am still completely comforted by the fact that he is so clearly exactly where he needs to be, getting precisely what he needs ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it comforts me as a mother, because when you, as a mom, can’t give your kids what they need, it is a huge comfort to find people who can.”
The mom of eight didn’t go into too much more detail about Collin’s care, but she did add the program is meant to help him “learn the skills he needs to be the best him he can be.”
We wonder if that explanation will put Jon at ease, especially as he last claimed Kate gave him no information into the whereabouts of their son.
The Gosselin matriarch made no mention of it, but does miss having the pre-teen at home. Fortunately, she feels better knowing Collin’s in good hands:
“He’s where he needs to be right now, and I can feel good about that.”
It’ll be interesting to see if Kate gives a more candid look when Kate Plus 8 airs on Tuesday, November 22.
