That tricky Duchess!
Throngs of press and fans have been waiting outside of St. Mary’s Hospital for Kate Middleton to arrive, but it might all be for naught!
Prince William’s wife has been hiding out at her parents’ house in Bucklebury, 53 miles from London, which even with a police escort could be pretty far for a woman in labor.
So, is she planning to go to a different hospital?!
The Telegraph‘s reporting that there├óΓé¼Γäós definitely a chance that├óΓé¼Γäós the case.
That sneaky royal family!
A source said:
“There are contingencies in place for wherever the Duchess happens to be, and one of them is the Royal Berkshire. It is still a possibility that she could give birth there, though that would only be in extremis, as the expectation is that she will go to St. Mary’s.”
If Kate does skip out on St. Mary’s, she’ll still be in very good hands, since The Royal Berkshire Hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, BUT there’s no private maternity wing!
They do have single rooms, but they can’t be reserved, so if they were full, then Kate could be sharing a room with other new moms.
Considering the fact that she’s got a faboosh luxury birthing room all sealed off and waiting for her in London, we can’t imagine that she’d favor a potential group room, right?
But how fun would that be for the other moms! LOLz!
All we know is that what’s best for the Duchess and her prince or princess will be done, because the world can’t wait to meet this baby!
