Kate Winslet feels disconnected with her role in Titanic and the actress is a bit apprehensive towards the film’s 3D release.
Winslet was a marvel as Rose opposite Leo‘s Jack in the film. She was only 22 at the time.
14 years later, Kate believes the movie was ages ago.
Winslet stated the following on the 3D release:
At the end of the day, it’s weird. It’s really weird because it’s 15 years ago and I don’t know, I feel very disconnected now from actually what was going on in my life at the time and how I felt. A lot of it, it does really feel like a distant memory, so it’s going to be quite strange to have that sort of thrusted into people’s face all over again
While a little hesitant, Winselt is still excited to see the film.
She also is excited to gain a new fan base of those who are unfamiliar with the film.
Titanic 3D releases in 2012, marking the 100th anniversary of its only voyage.
