We absolutely LOVE that they’ve remained so close over the years!
It’s no secret that Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have been pretty tight buds since they made Titanic together in 1997, and the actress recently praised him once again for being so supportive while she and Sam Mendes went through their divorce!
She reveals:
“He knows me better than anyone else in the world. Lots of male friendships begin as a cheeky snog. Or a little undercurrent of flirtation. But Leo and I? No. He’s my rock. I don’t know what the fuck I would have done if I hadn’t had him. I am very strong. When you have children, you have to be. I’m not a believer in hiding things from my kids because ultimately they are going to have questions – they feel things.”
And Leo agrees:
“We literally grew up together. And in every major life event we’ve been there as a support mechanism for each other.”
That truly is wonderful! It’s so important to have sturdy, reliable friends on whom you can count, so we’re thrilled that they’re able to be there for each other after all of those years!
Perhaps you two should reunite for a project again soon? Something a little less depressing than Revolutionary Road, please!
