But…she looks so sweet! How could Katherine Heigl be difficult to work with?!
According to some who have shared the set with Katherine in the past, she can be a headache and a half to deal with!
Demands for bigger dressing rooms, showing up late, even questioning the writing in a script — these are the kinds of horrors that await producers who decide to get in bed with Kat Heigl for the sake of movie magic.
One source who worked with Heigl on her 2010 film Life As We Know It with Josh Duhamel discussed how much harder she made the production for everyone involved, saying:
“She can cost you time every single day of shooting!”
Yiiiiiikes!!!
One common complaint seems to be about Katherine’s mother and manager, Nancy Heigl! Someone who saw first-hand how hard to please the mom-ager could be described how foul-mouthed she was when she walked on the set. They explained:
“I have never experienced anything like Nancy Heigl. It’s about the mouth. ‘F*ck you. You are a f*cking liar.’ Whatever you’d say, you were an idiot. The call would be, ‘This is the worst craft service we’ve ever had! There’s nothing to eat! This is the worst wardrobe!’ You knew that every day, you were going to get slammed.”
Ew! So not cool!
We can only hope that none of these claims are correct!
Not everyone who has hired Katherine in the past has a poor report of their experience though. When asked about his time with Heigl, director Greg Berlanti said:
“I would work with her again in a heartbeat.”
Producer Denise Di Novi also isn’t so soured on Katherine’s on-set behavior, although she did explain why Heigl and her mom might be getting such a bad rap! Denise admitted:
“They are not shrinking violets. They’re very straightforward and tell you what they think.”
Nothing wrong with being assertive ladies, but make sure to always do it with a smile! And keep the cursing to a minimum!
Katherine has had very little luck at the box office in her last few films but she’s hoping to kickstart her career again in a new television project for NBC where she’ll play the CIA’s chief liaison to the president!
