That sucks!
She had always heard the bond between a mother and a daughter was instant and “magical.” But, when Katherine Heigl first adopted her daughter Naleigh back in 2009, the connection was just not there.
She admits the time before Naleigh warmed up to her was:
“The hardest time in my life. … I fought incredibly hard for my daughter to accept me as mother. Her rejection almost broke my heart.”
OMG! That is SOO sad!
The poor actress was so broken hearted she threw herself into her work, to escape coming home to the child that did accept her.
Mommagl explains:
“At first I blamed myself and thought I was a bad mother. It took a while before I could admit to myself that the lack of trust had nothing to do with me.”
NOW that’s all over! Heigl and her 4-year-old daughter are SUPER close!
She even takes her on talk shows and puts the tot in her hubby’s adorable music videos!
