What a sweetie!
Last week Katherine Heigl was spotted with a 2-month-old pit bull puppy.
We’ve discovered Kath took the injured dog from the California City Shelter and has coved his vet bills.
The puppy had been used as a bait dog in dog fights.
A bait dog is a weak dog or puppy used to boost an older dogs confidence because he is sure to win. The older dog is made to attack the bait dog while it pretty much just stands there.
Doctors found that Heigl’s dog had a broken neck vertebra. The dog will stay in a neck brace for the next six to eight weeks.
While he recovers, the handsome young pit will stay with the Heigl family, after which they will try to find the puppy a new home. If that doesn’t happen, they will adopt him.
If Kath falls in love with this dog (and who wouldn’t) he will be her seventh rescue pup!
