Katherine Jackson opened up about her son Michael Jackson for a Dateline special Michael Jackson: A Mother’s Love airing on Friday, one year after the King of Pop’s death.
She says:
“He told me several times that he felt that people wanted him gone, wanted him dead. He would always say that. For him to say that, he must have known something. Some of the mean, vicious people didn’t want him around for some reason. They’re greedy.”
Katherine also revealed that she refused to see her son’s body after he was pronounced dead, explaining:
“We had a really good time together. I wanted to remember him smiling and laughing and having a good time the last time I saw him.”
When asked what she would say to Michael if she could see him again, she replied:
“I’d have so much to [say], but the main thing I’d want to know is what really happened?”
So sad. We can hardly believe it’s already been almost a year!
