Kathie Lee Gifford may get paid to drink wine and discuss current events in the morning on the Today show — but her job wasn’t always so cushy!
In fact, back in the ├óΓé¼╦£70s when the TV personality was a struggling actress trying to break into Hollywood, she was a mere “atmosphere” extra on Days of Our Lives!
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the long running NBC soap opera, the 62-year-old unearthed a 1976 scene featuring her younger self playing “the most minor character ever.” LOLz!

The clip played on Tuesday’s Today show, which showed a then 22-year-old Gifford playing Nurse Callahan, a frustrated nurse’s aid trying to get a hospital patient to eat!
After KGL watch the super dated clip with co-host Hoda Kotb, she was VERY critical of her younger self, declaring:
“That was the WORST acting I’ve ever seen!”
Go easy on yourself, Kath — you’ve come such a long way!
