Then again, who wouldn’t! She’s the most acclaimed actress in all the world. It’s like being in the presence of Margaret Thatcher or The Queen! (Who else doesn’t think that part was robbed from her by Helen Mirren! We kid, we kid. )
Kathy Griffin has made her living poking fun at some of the most recognizable celebrities of the day, but we’ve just learned that there is one actress that actually renders the comedienne speechless: Meryl Streep!
On Monday, Kathy was at the AARP Magazine’s 11th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards in Beverly Hills and while walking the red carpet, she walked right past the Oscar-nominated actress … and crawled right into the fetal position. She explains:
“I never thought in my lifetime I would see her in person. I was too shy to say anything. When I saw Meryl freakin’ Streep walk by, I about lost it … I just kept looking at her like she was an objet d’art or something. I’m sure she thought I was a lunatic.”
Most likely!
LOL! No! We’re sure she gets it all the time! You should’ve gone up to her, Kat! Think of how much fun it would be to rub that into other people’s faces. We know we’re just jealous knowing you were in the same room as her.
