Katie Couric‘s new daytime kiki hour debuted on Monday afternoon to the genre’s strongest ratings in a decade!
With Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow‘s help, the premiere garnered a 2.8 household rating, which easily crushed Steve Harvey by 87%, Jeff Probst by 150% and (we’re a little sad about this next one) Ricki Lake by 250%!
No love for Ricki? We were SO excited for her return to television and really thought more people would be too!
We totally understand and are not surprised by Couric’s success, but how is an established icon of daytime talk being beaten by the host of Family Feud and Survivor???
