Katie Holmes Opens Up About Opening Boxed Wine

Katie Holmes may be livin’ large in Manhattan these days, but she’s a Midwestern girl at heart.
In her newest Broadway play, Dead Accounts, the Ohio native feels right at home playing a woman who has moved back in with her parents in Cincinatti after a failed relationship.
During a recent interview, she admitted to the obvious parallels between her own life and the character’s she is playing on stage. For example, after her high profile divorce from Tom Cruise, she took Suri to spend time at her parents house in Toledo, Ohio.
Another example? She loves box wine. Apparently, it’s a Midwestern staple, as Holmes joked:

“I still think of myself as Midwestern. I mean, I├óΓé¼Γäóve had box wine. It├óΓé¼Γäós good. And it├óΓé¼Γäós a lot easier to open.├óΓé¼┬¥

So true!
Wonder if Katie and the rest of the Dead Accounts cast will play Slap The Bag to celebrate opening night? LOLz!
