And with every revelation, this sounds less and less like a divorce and more and more like an escape.
Within a few short days of calling her marriage to Tom Cruise quits, Katie Holmes has already taken massive steps to separate herself from the actor and his grip over her life – by firing the security team he assigned for her AND the talent agency she signed to when they got together!
Although the actress was photographed out with her old bodyguard and driver – who both worked with Tom before he even met her – as recently as last Tuesday, she made her first public appearance on the streets of NYC today with a new security detail comprised of five men!
And given all the craziness and reports of her being tracked by the army of Xenu, we don’t blame her!
On top of that, she has fired Slate PR, which took her on as a client after her 2006 wedding, and RE-SIGNED with BWR Public Relations, the company that represented her before the switch!
They announced today in a statement:
“Actress Katie Holmes has left her publicist at Slate PR and has signed with BWR Public Relations. Following the announcement of her divorce from Tom Cruise, she is now represented by Leslie Sloane in the New York office and Nanci Ryder in Los Angeles. Katie is set to star alongside Chace Crawford in the upcoming film Responsible Adults which starts filming later this year.”
WOW! She is NOT messing around, is she?
It’s pretty clear she wants nothing to do with anything or anyone associated with Scientology Tom’s lifestyle, and is making serious steps to re-establish her life and career as it was before all of this madness!
And we couldn’t be more THRILLED for her!
