Fans of How I Met Your Mother know all to well the story of the Slutty Pumpkin. Way back in the first season, Ted met up with a lady dressed as the gord with conveniently carved holes at a Halloween party. Every year since, he’s waited at the same party, dressed as the same silly thing, hoping the Slutty Pumpkin will resurface into his life.
Well Ted, this year is your year as we’ve just learned that not only has the Slutty Pumpkin been cast for this season, but she is a pretty big deal.
Enter Joey Potter Katie Holmes as the elusive Halloween hottie!
The secret was unveiled by creator Craig Thomas, who shared his jubulation that Katie would be joining his band of merry 30-somethings. He says:
“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show├óΓé¼Γäós history … [the role was] literally six seasons in the making.”
Then let’s hope the news isn’t disappointing to fans!
