Cue the fireworks! !
Despite all the ups and downs 2012 has brought Katy Perry‘s love life, she has spent the whole year on a professional high note!
That’s why Billboard Magazine is honoring the pop star as 2012’s Woman of the Year!
Billboard‘s editorial director praised Katy Cat, saying:
“Katy Perry broke into the industry not even five years ago, and has already accomplished more than most artists can hope for in anentire career. We are thrilled to celebrate these incredible achievements and her amazing past 12 months by honoring her with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award. With what seems like a never-ending supply of record-breaking, chart-topping hits, coupled with her unique and fresh style, Katy Perry is hands-down one of the most exciting and inspiring artists in the industry today.”
Damn straight!
That’s our KP! The first lady-singer to score FIVE #1 Hot 100 Hits off ONE album! She went on a world tour, has given TONZ of TV performances AND sold 48 million songs in the U.S. alone.
This honor is certainly well deserved!
