Calling it right now – best year of her life!!!
As of this week, despite E.T.’s dip in the charts to the #2 spot, Katy Perry has made musical history. She is now the first artist EVER in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to remain in the top 10 for a full year! A full year! That means, ever since California Girls dropped a year ago, she hasn’t once NOT had a song in the top ten.
Incredible!!!
Oh, and there is one more thing…
As of this week, E.T. has reached its 3 million mark in digital sales. That’s an accolade in itself, except that Katy’s already done this five times before. With this sixth song reaching the same plateau, she becomes the first artist in digital history to have six songs sell over 3 million copies!!!
There are no words! She’s rendered us speechless! There’s nothing she can’t do!
Best. Year. Ever! Best album, best tour…and we think she might’ve gotten married at some point too!
We can’t say it enough: CONGRATULATIONS!!!
