By now, you’ve likely heard the good news! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child together, and we couldn’t be more excited for the duo!
Like many other A-listers before her, she chose to wait a bit before announcing, but had to carry on with business as usual. Luckily, she had a few tricks up her sleeves and discovered more than one sneaky way to conceal her growing baby bump.

Oversized Jackets — February 3, 2020
On her way into The Shaftesbury Theatre in London for a production of Romeo & Juliet, the star went the route of many other expecting mommas who are hiding their bumps: oversized! But she definitely stood out from the crowd in her hot pink satin coat, so we’re not sure how much good it did to not draw attention.
Clasped Hands — February 4, 2020
The 35-year-old was named as an ambassador of the British Asian Trust by Prince Charles, and wore a fairly tight dress for the royal occasion! However, she managed to keep attention away from any baby bump with clasped hands in front of her body and was also seen holding a small bag in front of her tummy.
Menswear — February 12, 2020
In yet another oversized look, she rocked a peach leopard print suit and clear heels (no swelling yet, apparently) for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with her American Idol co-judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Plus, she even matched her normally icy-blonde hair to her outfit!
Tiny Bag — February 14, 2020
For a Valentine’s Day date at celeb-favorite Craig’s in West Hollywood, Miz Perry was pretty in pink once more in this flowy ensemble, accented with a lace overlay. For her latest tactic, the Never Wore White songstress carried a tiny purse in front of her stomach to cover up.
After announcing, Katy jumped on Instagram Live to chat with her followers about the big secret and revealed how excited she and Orlando are:
“I am excited. We’re excited and happy and it’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. And I like to tell you guys everything but I knew I would tell you in the best way, which is through a piece of music because that’s…I guess that’s how I speak to you. That’s how we speak together to each other.”
