A major awkward turtle got thisclose to swimming into El Lay’s Soho House last Thursday, when John Mayer turned up barely an hour after his recent ex Katy Perry had finished dining with Robert Pattinson!
Holy love triangles!
OK, so Katy and Rob aren’t lovers (YET?), but according to a source, the friends apparently met at the V.I.P. hotspot to warm their bellies AND their hearts with good food and intimate chats.
The insider reveals:
“Last Thursday night, Katy and Rob met up at the Soho House in West Hollywood for a bite to eat. They are close friends and can just be themselves when they are with each other… Katy has been trying to be as supportive as she can for Rob. She understands what he├óΓé¼Γäós going thru and wants to help him. Katy has been urging Rob to go out and be silly and have fun!”
But thank goodness Katy and her now jet-black locks didn’t linger, ’cause Johnny-boy Mayer soon arrived and was reportedly chatting up some sexaay ladieees!
The source shares:
“Katy only stayed for about an hour and lucky for her because John Mayer ended up showing up to the Soho House about an hour later and was flirting with some girls. Rob left about 15 minutes after John arrived. The two did not interact.”
Awww poor Rob was almost the meat in the middle of a Mayperry sandwich!
Ah well, these celebs all frequent the same places, so Katy and John’s newly shorn head are BOUND to run into each other sometime in the near future! And in the meantime, Katy should spend MORE time with Robby Rob so they can fuel that flickering love-flame that we know is there!
