Katy Perry Isn't Planning On Topping The Success Of Teenage Dream With Her Next Album

Which is totally fine because having five #1 singles on a SINGLE album is going to hard to top! We’d say practically impossible, but we know if there is anybody that can do accomplish that feat, it could very well be Katy Perry!
Even though she just came off her most successful year to date (minus that marriage mishap), the singer is already talking about her next album, saying:

“I don’t want to jinx myself ’cause I haven’t stepped into the studio. I have an idea ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I always have an idea. Like, I have an idea for the next two records; it just depends. What I say is, I’m gonna kind of put my finger out there and test the pulse or test the waters of what the world wants, or what I need to say, which is probably most important rather than what the world wants.”

The one thing Katy’s absolutely positive about is that she’s NOT going to try to top the success of Teenage Dream. Instead she just wants to follow her heart and “do what feels right” artistically, explaining:

“I don’t want to give too much away. I also don’t want to play the game of trying to continually top myself because eventually it may not always go as I planned. I may not get to be able to have another #1, so I’m just gonna do what feels right for me artistically. I’m very inspired at the moment, and so I’m gonna follow my heart as I always have and hopefully people will like it.”

Like it? With your track record, we’re pretty sure your fans will LOVE it, gurl!
And even though Katy has adamantly insists that her latest hit, Part Of Me, is NOT about Russell Brand, that doesn’t mean future songs won’t be. She recently told Interview magazine her music is “about to get real f—ing dark.”
Not too dark, however. Since she was being interviewed by Kristin Wiig, we bet that statement was made in a slightly joking manner. Instead, Katy recently clarified:

“I imagine that maybe my next record would be a little bit more of an artistic venture. Not that I’m going to self-sabotage either and be like, ‘I’m going to make a crazy record that nobody really understands.'”

Even though she has no desire to, do U think Katy’s next album could be better or more successful than Teenage Dream?
