Debuting on this week’s SNL is Groundlings veteran Abby Elliott, who will also become the first to start an SNL familial legacy.
Abby is the daughter of former cast member Chris Elliott.
She will be joining the team along with fellow Groundlings Michaela Watkins. The two were recruited after a months long recruiting process and will hopefully help fill in the gap left by Amy Poehler’s recent departure.
The new blood bodes well for the show, which is experiencing a resurgence in ratings thanks to the U.S. presidential election.
Let’s hope that the new additions can keep the show going strong well into its 34th season.
