Yes, it can be done! Take note, other Hollywood A-listers.
Keira Knightley isn’t comparing her negative experiences with the press to war or rape; she’s just talking about them on their own terms.
And it sounds pretty harsh.
Keira was talking about how she was treated when she first began acting in movies, and she revealed some harsh words thrown at her- by the people interviewing her! She said:
“I wouldn’t do my life any differently, but having lived through it… but there was a very long time when [interviewers] were all, ‘Well you’re a s**t actress and you’re anorexic and people hate you’ which, for a teenager or somebody in their early 20s, is a very strange thing.”
That does sound awful. Besides obviously being terrible at their job of interviewing celebs, these people also just sound like jerks!
But that had to have been the minority! People don’t become movie stars because they’re bad actors that everyone hates!
We’re just glad Keira was able to get past it; we wouldn’t have her do her life any differently either! Well, maybe she could have come back for another Pirates Of The Caribbean…
