Can you imagine if the world had been robbed of Kelly Clarkson‘s voice?
It almost happened! And the culprit was Kelly calls her “horrible pregnancy.”

Obviously the American Idol winner loves her little River Rose more than anything, but when pregnancy complications caused her to lose her voice, it wasn’t a moment she had been waiting a lifetime for!
In fact, after giving birth, there was a time when she had to mull over a new career path! She admitted:
“Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day. I was like, ‘Oh God, I’m not going to be a singer anymore.’… I was bawling to my husband and completely hammered, just going, ‘Oh my God, it’s over. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I guess I could do more charity work.'”
We’re just so glad Kelly’s pipes returned!
Though we’re sure she would have been a wonderful full-time charity organizer, we just know she can do more good with her angelic voice than without!
