We know your brain’s initial reaction was to think Denise Richards, but no dice on that, friend. In fact, she might despise him the MOST. But enough about that…
While at the opening of Kirstie Alley’s Organic Liaison store in Los Angeles, Kelly Preston revealed that she still has a deep love and respect for Charlie Sheen, the man she almost married 20 years ago.
Oh yes! Allow us to give you this refresher:
Kelly and Charlie were a serious item in the 80s. They dated for a year and were even engaged to be married. However, things went south when Charlie accidentally shot her in the arm. (You know how it is, right Brooke Mueller?)
Though the details of that frightful incident remain a mystery, Kelly still speaks very highly of her former lover. She told sources:
“My heart just goes out to him, and all of his family. He’s such a good person underneath all of it, he really is…We were together for a year, and he wasn’t drinking, and he wasn’t doing drugs. And there’s a beautiful person in there. He really is a great man.”
We wish we could see what you do. We know Charlie certainly does, in his own skewed way.
Maybe if he got himself some help, he could be that great man again, instead of the joke he’s allowing himself to become.
