When Kendall Jenner put on her tutu and pointe shoes for a shoot for Vogue Spain in September, she had no idea it would ruffle so many feathers.

The supermodel’s foray into pretending to be a ballerina upset quite a few actual ballet dancers, including Dance Moms‘ Abby Lee Miller.
On Thursday, the brunette beauty took to her personal blog to address the issue, saying:
“It’s so funny that people are getting pregnant and married├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥or having crazy drama├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥but my drama is ballerinas being upset at me! With my Vogue Spain shoot, I didn’t even know I was going to be a ballerina until I went into hair and makeup. I never said I knew ballet and I didn’t practice beforehand. I just show up to do my job!”
Wow, we had no idea getting married or pregnant was “drama.”
She continued:
“I have so much respect for women who do their jobs really well and would never purposely try to offend anyone. It confuses me how people can get that upset when there are so many important things going on in the world. But, it’s obviously not going to stop me from working hard and being me.”
As for the fact that there are more important things going on in the world than her dressing up and pretending to be a ballerina, that’s certainly true. She’s also right that she never claimed to be a professional dancer.
The whole thing was slightly blown out of proportion, but if we were Kendall, we probably wouldn’t have even bothered addressing it at all.
