Fans Suing The Cincinnati Bengals Over Drunken Injury

They might have a case.

Two Cincinnati Bengals fans, a husband and wife, are suing the NFL team and others after the woman’s nose and finger were broken by a group of intoxicated fans.

The lawsuit states that two “noticeably intoxicated” fans fell on her during a 2009 game, causing the injuries. Now, the family is suing not only the team, but the the beer vendor and the county-owned football stadium for negligence, alleging that they continued to serve the fans alcohol when they were clearly drunk. The family is also suing the two fans.

They’re seeking punitive damages to the tune of $20,000 for past and future pain and suffering and medical treatment.

Sticky situation, but we can see where these people are coming from. Sure, there is profit in selling lots of beer to patrons, but is this worth it?
