We had forgotten all about this!
During a Television Critics Association event on Sunday, Kyra Sedgwick was asked about that time she found out while doing PBS‘s Finding Your Roots that she and longtime hubby Kevin Bacon were related.
For us, that may have been a dealbreaker. It certainly would have been a mindblower.

But for the star of Ten Days In The Valley, it was just another example of white people problems. HUH??!
She explained she wasn’t even that shocked because:
“I figured I was going to be related to Kevin Bacon ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I mean, most white people are related, ultimately.”
OK, Closer. Whatever helps you sleep with your cuz at night.
LOLz, but srsly, the whole thing just wasn’t that big a deal for her:
“I wasn’t surprised, honestly. Frankly, I figured that was part the reason that they wanted to do both of us. I had to act surprised.”
Gurl has a point. We mean, if they ask you to be on Jerry Springer, you have to assume your boy is cheating. Best case scenario.
To be fair to Kyra, she and Kevin are very distant cousins, like not even six degrees. We’re pretty sure they’re like 10th cousins. So if we’re taking that view, her “most white people are related” comment is probably accurate.
But we’d still be freaking the eff out!
